The static regularity of planimetrical system contrasts with dynamism and vibrations coming from vertical guidelines of Broadway buildings. Volumes, open spaces and crossings areas arranging the theatre, and all the other functions connected, emphasize this dialectical conflict. In a rhythmic sequence of solids and voids, by a regular distribution of spaces, it takes roots in a place which preserve in the horizontality railroad tracks its natural propensity toward Hudson river.
